One thing we ALL know about moms is: they love it when you make them stuff! Whether that's macaroni-and-Elmer's-glue crafts, homemade cards, breakfast in bed--- something handmade from the heart is mom's favorite gift.
If the mom you are celebrating is more into 'rosé' than roses, we highly suggest you give her what she wants this Mother's Day- with a twist, of course. Anyone can go to the store, buy a bottle of wine and put a bow on it.... but a handcrafted rosé cocktail is much more special. This one features the addition of elderflower liquer for a delicate, floral sweetness. And it's super easy to make!
Combine in a pitcher:
- 1 Bottle of dry rosé wine (some of my suggested faves below)
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- Simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water melted together over low heat) TO TASTE*
- 2 c. Club Soda
- 1/2 c. St. Germain Elderflower Liquer
*I believe I used about 1/4 c. of simple syrup in mine- but honestly use however much tastes great to you. Amounts will vary according to how sweet the wine is already, and also what you like!
Mix and pour into a glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy!
