Sarah Tracey is a wine, spirits, food, and lifestyle expert who worked her way up from emptying spit buckets at a local winery to Michelin-starred Wine Director at top NYC restaurants. She has a certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Sarah is the resident drinks expert at Martha Stewart Living and a contributor at The Food Network. She was named one of the Top 20 Wine Influencers in the US for her blog, The Lush Life, and maintains a lively and colorful presence on Instagram, where she founded the community #YouCanSipWithUs and was awarded Community Creator of the Year at the 2019 Diversity Wine Awards. She is a Symposium for Professional Wine Writers Fellow and has served as a speaker, moderator, and panelist at industry events such as The Wine Media Conference, The Unified Wine and Grape Symposium, and Vinitaly.
Although wine was Sarah’s first fascination, it didn’t take long until her career became a foray into spirits, cocktails, cheese, charcuterie, chocolate, and home entertaining. Now she counts food styling and recipe development in her portfolio, creates cocktail and appetizer recipes for global brands, and is an on-air personality frequently appearing on broadcast news outlets throughout the country. She’s been featured in ‘O’ The Oprah Magazine, People, Food & Wine, Wine Enthusiast, Life & Style, Forbes, Fortune, Huffington Post, Elle, Refinery 29, Town & Country, Cosmopolitan, and Cheddar TV.
Sarah is also the proud owner of Black Walnut Farm , a historic property on 35 acres in upstate New York’s Hudson Valley region. The Dutch-built stone farmhouse was built in 1747 and was renovated in 2021 with all the modern amenities, while preserving its old-time charm, and has hosted over 500 guests in the past two years for a peaceful getaway. The Barn at Black Walnut Farm is the 1891 barn, transformed into an eclectic events space. Sarah is not sure how she ended up as the unlikely heroine of a Hallmark-style movie plot, but is enjoying every second.
Her idea of self-care is a solo Beyoncé dance party with a glass of rosé Champagne.
